Kerbside - for something different

http://www.kerbside.com.au/

Kerbside has been open for a few weeks now but I just haven't got around to blogging about it. Located next to the Fringe bar on Constance street in the Valley, Kerbside is a breath of fresh air and something different which is exactly what the Valley needed. As soon as you enter you are met with an incredible graffiti mural on the monster back wall. The decor is an eclectic mix of vintage sofas and lounge chairs to relax on whilst sipping the drink of your choice. The smoking area outside is surronded by an old vaccant block which adds a lot of character and kinda makes you feel like you're in a bar in Brooklyn or something. The service is great, very professional and unbelievably quick (which is nice because no one likes sobering up whislt your in line waiting to be served for your next drink). Even the bouncer was friendly but most importantly you can actually relax and hear the person talking next to you whilst the Dj plays refreshingly good music which makes you want to stay for hours.

During the day Kerbside transforms into a cafe that offers lunch and coffee (first coffee is on them).

I was designated driver the night I attended Kerbside but I can't wait to get back and enjoy a few drinks and I suggest you all check it out.

The Cliffs Cafe - Kangaroo point

http://www.cliffscafe.com.au/

One of if not the best view in Brisbane. I have been saying for years that a cafe or bar at Kangaroo Point would be awesome and successful. The Cliffs Cafe at Kangaroo point is indeed that, especially on a beautiful Brisbane day like today, not only today but most days it is packed with people which of course is always a good sign. I have only ever breakfast, coffee and deserts there which have always been delicious and satisfying. Today i was naughty and ordered the New York cheesecake it was beautiful and fresh and seemed to be made by the chefs as opposed to an outside catering company that most cafes do these days with there cakes and sweets. Pricing is standard and the service is quick and great. The Cliffs also does dinner but only on selected dates, I for one am looking forward to having dinner in front of the city lights of Brisbane. They are also licensed so you can enjoy a beer and wine instead of tea or coffee. So next time if your looking for a place to go especially when you have a visitor from interstate or overseas try the Cliff Cafe at Kangaroo Point.

Mirasoul Caxton St

http://www.mirasoul.com.au/

If you go to an event at Suncorp Stadium and you fancy a drink before or after try Mirasoul which situated on Caxton st directly opposite the Caxton hotel. The Caxton hotel is a tradition to some people before or after the game but sometimes i find it overcrowded and unbelievably loud. Last night this was the case so i convinced my friend to try "the place across the road" which turned out to be Mirasoul. The service was quick , friendly and they serve your drinks in GLASS, there is a dj and they have fox sports so you can still watch sport. So next time you go for a drink in caxton st think outside the box and try something new, there's more to caxton st than the caxton hotel and hotel LA.

Fuel Bulimba

Well my very first blog...

http://www.fuelclothing.com.au/

If your in need for a new set of vans, MLB new era caps or anything street wear you have to check this place out. Fuel Clothing on oxford st Bulimba, the place is owned (i presume) by this american guy. He has brought over his american service skills and brings them to the table. The service he offers you is second to none, too often these days we walk into a clothing store to find staff that simply don't want to be there and the help they provide can sometimes be painful. My girlfriend and i strolled in there after a movie just to have a casual look. The massive shoe collection is situated at the front of the window which pulled me in and thats where i first went to. I didn't get instant help which is a plus in my opinion, we all want at least five minutes to ourselves to check shit out.  But when i was served my american friend was great, his knowledge was infectious and he had my full attention.

I ended up going for a pare of pants that were ordered in from overseas for me cause they were out of my size and my girlfriend went for a pare of suede pants.  It went from us  going in with no intention of buying to us purchasing two items worth $200. In saying  this the staff were never pushy  and yes they were good salesman and offered great customer service but all the clothes they stock Ive never seen in other shops around brisbane. Now i will always go back and see my american friend and buy some more stuff from fuel clothing ... everyone go check it out.
